A Passion for Pizza

One Man:
This is me, Sale. No, I am not selling pizzas, ‘Sale’ just happens to be my uncommon first name, and I am embarking on the most ambitious pizza eating experience ever undertaken.

Two Years:
I am living and working in Naples, Italy for two years, and am quite literally situated in Pizza Heaven. Probably since the invention of dough and cooking oil, high quality pizza has been churned out of Neapolitan brick ovens, and I am on a search through every Fiat and Vespa-crowded ally to find the perfect pizza.

365 Pizzas:
I am going to eat 365 unique pizzas at several hundred different pizzerias throughout Italy and Europe. I am in search of quality, but I will need to ensure I also eat a high quantity of pizza to compare all the numerous crusts, toppings and pizza bases available. You can follow me here at this website as I eat and rate 365 pizzas in two years.

Posted by Sale Lilly on July 03, 2009|Comments|Read full article
Naming a pizza ‘The Ferrari’ may seem like a pretentious thing for a pizzeria to do, unless of course the pizza is better than most others. The Ferrari pizza manages that task, has fresh ingredients, and does it with a base that has a so-simple-its-mind blowing-taste....

Il Rudere has so far only produced good pizza for me, so for pizza 150 I decided to go with something known to be good. Unlike many of Il Rudere’s competitors, it has no sea front view to boast of, but that means it caters less to tourists and more to making uncompromising crust and good toppings for most of their Italian customers...
