Review

The Porto Di Baia pizza, named after the port Il Tucano pizzeria is located in, is one of the more unusual combinations of vegetables and sea food. While the purple cabbage and shrimp are an original set of pizza toppings in my experience, they are not necessarily a good combination. The cabbage does not cook well in the pizza oven and tends to be solid, crunchy, and tasteless on an otherwise creamy and tender set of toppings (shrimp, mozzarella, and mushrooms). The cabbage is almost out of place in terms of taste, although it certainly makes the Baia pizza an aesthetically pleasing pizza. On a scale of one to ten I give the toppings a 5.5 and the crust a 6.5
