Review

This was an excellent looking capricciosa pizza and ripieno hybrid. Based on aesthetics alone, I expected this to be a perfect pizza, but was a bit disappointed by the actual taste. This pizza was by no means under-cooked, but a less than super-heated base of mozzarella and tomatoes is a disservice to the diner and to who ever paid for the brick pizza oven. That aside, the ingredients were certainly fresh and the ripieno portion that was filled with ricotta and ham was good, but not great. The stuffing ingredients would probably have also benefited from a hotter baking temperature (if that was the issue). The olives and artichokes were noticeably fresh, and while the ham was not particularly good, the crust was. Casa di Federico is just off the main shopping street of Corso Umberto, and if you are in the area I do recommend this pizzeria. On a scale of one to ten I give the toppings a 6 and the crust a 5
