Review

This is the second pizza I have had at Il Rudere and they not only have some of the best ingredients on their pizza in terms of freshness, but also serve excellent crust. I find some of the crust made in Naples’ pizzerias is too thin at the center, and almost has a pancake/crepe taste to it. Il Rudere has crust a bit thicker that would almost be worth eating even if it did not have toppings. Il Rudere’s toppings are also amazingly fresh, and the combination of tender mushrooms and speck are mind blowing. The ingredients on my pizza genuinely made me want to eat this pizza as slow as possible to enjoy the flavor of the pork and the creaminess of the mozzarella. Il Rudere also has a nice internal decour with wall fresco’s that are remakes of some of the archaeological finds in the ancient city of Pompeii. On a scale of one to ten I give the toppings a 7 and the crust a 7.5
