Review

This is an average pizza, with one of the most stunning views I have seen in Naples. Combine that with a ludicrously inexpensive pizza and wine menu, and I will certainly eat here again. Pizza Nerone has prime real estate overlooking the bay of Naples, which is lovely at anytime of the day, but especially in the evening when Naples is lit up from the foothills of Mt. Vesuvius to the edge of the Sorrento Peninsula.

The pizza is average, but since the seafood looked especially good, I may have been better off eating one of the ‘Fruit of the Sea’ pizzas that was on the menu. The Pizza Nerone had good fresh black olives, canned mushrooms, and bland peas. The crust was not of the usual Neapolitan style and was neither puffy on the outside or flat. The crust was still chewy, but maybe had less yeast. Usually crusts that are neither crispy like a Roman pizza, or puffed-up on the edges like a Neapolitan pizza taste bland, however this crust is an exception and still tasted good. On a scale of one to ten I give the toppings a 5 and the crust a 6.
