Review

This was a phenomenal pizza at one of the best located pizzerias in downtown Naples. Antonio e Antonio is located along Via Partenope, directly across from the scenically located Castel Dell’Ovo (The Egg Castle). Pizza here comes with a sea-level panoramic view of Naples, especially good when the Bay of Naples is lit up at night. While Antonio e Antonio carries a variety of pizzas on their menu, you need not stray from the five pizzas at the top of the menu that are all variations of a theme: different kinds of tomatoes combined with different types of mozzarella. All looked excellent, and the crust that is the base for each of these pizzas is superb. The crust on my Antonio e Antonio pizza inflated nicely and still possessed thickness in the center despite the heavy amounts of buffalo mozzarella and cherry tomatoes on the pizza. The mozzarella and cherry tomatoes had unmistakable freshness, and combined with the crust and complimented by the view made for a great pizza. The pizzas here, given the pricey hotels along Via Partenope, are surprisingly well priced. I think you are unlikely to find gourmet level pizza of this quality anywhere else in Europe for just six euros. On a scale of one to ten I give the toppings a 7 and the crust a 7.5
