This pizzeria is right outside of the Roman Coliseum. Ideally located, the pizza was better than expected for a touristy spot. In general I attempt to eat pizzas in Italy that are unique because of their quality, novelty, and sometimes the scenery. This pizza was definitely the latter. But, as far as the touristy goes, my diavola pizza was just fine, typical thin and crispy crust. This pizza leads me think that Roman pizza, while not as satisfying as the best Neapolitan pizzas, are more difficult to ‘get wrong’. By that I mean, all the roman pizzas I’ve had don’t have bad crust (its not great, just average). The toppings are relatively simple and you NEVER get the soggy pizza’s that you can get in Naples if the pizza chef has under cooked the pizza, or added too many toppings to the center without evenly distributing them. So, in short, the pizza meets my touristy need to be full after walking around the Forum and the Coliseum for five hours, and the view is worth enjoying. On a scale of one to ten I give the toppings a 4 and the crust a 4
