Review

Although named after the birthplace of the modern pizza, Bella Napoli of the city of Vicenza did not come close to imitating the pizzas of its namesake to the south. I find it paradoxical that in the economically well-off northern half of Italy, Pizza gets both more expensive and generally worse. This pizza was about twice the price of most of the pizzas I have tried in Italy, and although the porcini mushrooms were good on their own, the watery pizza base and dull crust left me unsatisfied. I suppose I should be eating more spaghetti and lasagna in this part of Italy, but that will have to wait for another year and perhaps another eating mission. On a scale of one to ten I give the toppings a 3.5 and the crust a 2
