This is only the second of two pizzas I have tried with lamb, and the first I have had in Italy. Meat toppings in Italy are much more likely to be some type of pork product. On a peninsula that produces world famous Parma ham and Salami, it does not make much sense to add an imported or alien taste to a pizza. That is not to say this lamb and onion pizza was not good, it was well above average. Sautéed onions added a nice sharp taste to the tender meat and mild mozzarella. On a scale of one to ten I give the toppings a 6.5 and the crust a 7
