Review

As always, it is hard to go wrong with any pizza at Acqua and Farina. If the pizzeria was any closer to central Naples it would be difficult to get a seat during the evenings.Located in Pozzuoli, the pizzeria is host to not only good pizza, but also a decent view and access to a seaside park, which is relatively clean by Neapolitan standards.

The Salsiccia e Friarielli (Sausage and a spinach-like leaf pizza) is a topping heavy pizza. Even if the friarielli is strained, it is still a water-filled vegetable. Fortunately Acqua and Farina makes a heavier than normal pizza crust, and the base and crust are more than sufficient to support this pizza. The pizzaiolos here seem to do an excellent job of ensuring the crust center is well cooked without burning the outer edge of the pizza. On a scale of one to ten I give the toppings a 7 and the crust a 7
