Review

Directly off of Piazza Garibaldi is an inexpensive pizzeria that serves a complete brick-oven fired pizza and beverage for only five euros. It was not the best pizza I have had, but if you have just emerged from the chaos that is the Naples main train station, then Rosellino’s would be a good stop to eat while you find your bearings in downtown Naples (just aim for the outline of the cruise ships along Nuovo Marina). Excellent salami, about standard tomato sauce base and a sprinkling of mozzarella on top helped contribute to a solid pizza. Most evenings you can catch the Italian version of ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire?’…or given the euro to dollar exchange rate currently, ‘Who wants to win 1.4 million Dollars?’ After watching Italian football, this game show seems to be a close second for Naples’ pizzeria most popular entertainment (karaoke a distant third….). On a scale of one to ten I give the toppings a 5 and the crust a 4.
