Review

It had been less than a full month since the last time a Neapolitan had broken into my car, which meant it was about time for that to happen again. While enjoying a three-cheese pizza at one of my local restaurants ( the same place I had pizza 200), my car was broken into for a second time with the typical Neapolitan smash-and-grab from the passenger side window. Fortunately, nothing was taken except my diminishing sense of physical security. Aside from that, I once again enjoyed a good pizza (see the misfortune to crust trade off theory) that carried an original mix of toppings (jalapenos are uncommon on pizzas in Naples) and good crust.

The three cheeses in this pizza, noticeably the ricotta, help to balance the acidity and spiciness of the jalapenos. A few sliced yellow peppers help to round out the trifecta of tastes: creamy, spicy, and sweet. The toppings strike a good balance that won’t wreck your palette or your stomach in the same way Mexican food can. Any latent spiciness can be dealt with by saving the crust for last. On a scale of one to ten I give the toppings a 6 and the crust a 5
