Review

Armando’s, also known locally among English-speakers as ‘Bagnoli Joes’ is a pizzeria in an area just west of downtown Naples. Bagnoli is less crowded than downtown Naples but still has a multitude of pizzerias (albeit less well known pizzerias). I do not have much to elaborate on in regards to the pizza here. Aside from a heavy delivery business, Armandos has outdoor seating at one of their two locations. My salsiccia e friarielli pizza was lacking in the two ingredients that happen to make up the pizza’s name: Sausage and Friarielli leaves. The sausage was greasy and the friarielli leaves needed to be strained more to allow the crust to cook in the center. The mozzarella was above average, fresh and creamy. So I assume the Margherita pizza at Armando’s would be a better tasting choice than my current pizza choice. On a scale of one to ten I give the toppings a 4.5 and the crust a 3.5
