Review

I fell victim to a touristy pizzeria. I should have known better, but sometimes you get lucky and stumble upon a small pizzeria that despite being in a touristy location produces good pizza (and strikes me as reasonably affordable). This pizzeria in Venice itself, produced a lackluster pizza that was heavy on tomato paste and mozzarella, and was absent of high quality ingredients. The olives and salami were passable, as well as the crust. This crust was only tasty where it didn’t already have heavy ingredients on it, which suggests to me that the oven was not hot enough or the pizza did not cook long enough to allow the center of the crust cook thoroughly. I should mention that there are some well-known pizzerias in Venice that have good reputations for pizza making, I just didn’t visit them this time. On a scale of one to ten I give the toppings a 4.5 and the crust a 4
