Review

Pizzeria Lucrino, named after the lake it sits adjacent to is an average pizzeria with no real view. That places it pretty low on the pizzeria food-chain in this part of Naples. Most of Lucrino’s competitors have to boast some blend of delicious pizza and/or panoramic views in order to stay open. Maybe I picked too simple of a pizza to test Pizzeria Lucrino’s abilities, but my four cheese pizza was only average. The ‘kick’ in a Quattro Formaggi usually comes from the Gorgonzola, which was not tangible in this pizza except for one of two bites. The pizza tasted more of bland mozzarella than any of the other three cheeses, which according to one of my local pizzeria owners, is supposed to be four distinct cheese tastes from four separate regions of Italy. In this particular case you can only taste the mozzarella. Lucrino does an average crust as well. On a scale of one to ten I give the toppings a 4 and the crust a 4.5
